Make yourself at home in our pack-in, backcountry tent camp located on public lands, surrounded by breathtaking wilderness. General Season Hunts

Embark on a six-mile trek to our Big Creek Camp, ideal for elk, mountain goat, and moose hunts. With a maximum of six hunters per week, our expeditions include rifle practice prior to departure, culminating with a return within six days. Rates start at $6,500 per person (2 people per guide) for six days, with gratuities*. Choose from available spots on the following hunts:


  • Hunt 1: October 25 – 31 (7 days)
  • Hunt 2: November 3 – 8 (6 days)
  • Hunt 3: November 10 – 15 (6 days)
  • Hunt 4: November 17 – 22 (6 days)


Our comprehensive packages provide one guide for every two hunters, along with a cook, hearty home-style meals, horses, wall tents, cots, and more, excluding only personal items and sleeping bags. Guides assist with dressing and packing out game, offering seamless service throughout your excursion.

Archery Hunts

Archery hunts are conducted in the same area with identical amenities to our general season hunts, priced at $6,500 per person (2 people per guide) for seven days, plus gratuities*. Available spots include:


  • Hunt 1: Sept 6 – Sept 13 (8 days)
  • Hunt 2: Sept 15 – 21 (7 days)

Goat or Moose Hunts

Experience exceptional mountain goat hunting from our spike camp in Big Creek. Offering a maximum of two hunters per hunt, these trophy hunts include one guide per hunter, a cook, tents, horses, and more. Non-resident big game licenses are available through a drawing process, applications must be submitted before May 1.

Applying for a Montana Non-Resident Big Game License

Dreaming of a Montana hunting adventure? Don't miss out on the chance to secure your non-resident big game license, including opportunities for elk, deer, fishing, and upland game birds. With approximately 17,000 licenses available through a drawing process, applying between March 1 and April 1 is crucial. Additionally, those eyeing moose and goat permits must submit their applications by May 1. What to Bring?

Weight Limit: 50 lbs



This list is for guidance only. Temperatures will probably range from 20° to 50°F, but you should be prepared for -20° to +70°F. Layers of lightweight clothing, which can be added or taken off depending on your comfort level, are preferred over heavy weight coats. Pack all of your belongings in a stout duffle or side zipper bag marked with your name and address. Plastic freezer bags are handy pack articles and keep them clean and dry. We provide cots and foam pads.


Please let us know if you have any allergies or dietary preferences.

  • Rifle in the 30-06 category with a 4-power scope – Bring a rifle you are familiar with and are used to shooting. Caliber isn’t as important as your ability to hit where you aim under all conditions.
  • Ammunition – 2 boxes OR Bow, bow sling and arrows. We will have a target in camp to sight in your bow.
  • 1 liter minimum canteen or water bottle and water filter
  • Down or wool clothing is good, but you should have outer garments that will shed moisture.
  • Blaze orange vest that is at least 400 square inches is required for rifle hunters.
  • Day pack – this is handy to carry lunches and needed items.
  • Sleeping bag – 5 lb down or polyfill or 2 lightweight bags
  • Boots – 2 pair. One for hunting and one for wearing around camp. Heavy Vibram soles or pack boots are not recommended for riding.
  • Gaiters
  • Wool socks – several pair
  • Wool pants
  • Coats – at least one should be wool or water repellent
  • Thermal underwear – 2 pair of winter weight
  • Shirts – warm
  • Gloves and mittens – several pair
  • Hat or cap that will cover your ears
  • Hunting knife
  • Binoculars – lightweight, 10 power with a rangefinder
  • Compass
