Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness Trips

Join us on a safari by horse through the Absaroka-Beartooth Mountains, an area just north of Yellowstone National Park, where streams and lakes abound with Cutthroat and Rainbow trout.  This is a beautiful area where towering peaks overlook pine and spruce forests and vast meadows of wildflowers.  Spanning nearly one million acres, it is the home of elk, bighorn sheep, moose, deer and mountain goats. 

1. Grizzly Creek Camp

We reach this semi-permanent tent camp in the heart of the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness Area after a 16 mile ride over majestic Wallace Pass.  This is one of our most popular and spectacular areas with fine Cutthroat trout fishing in nearby Carpenter Lake, Grizzly Creek and Hellroaring Creek.  This is an excellent trip for riding, wildlife, photography and fishing,  These trips start July 10 and go until September 12. 
 
Rates are $200 per person per day for 6 days or more or $225 per person, per day for less than 6 days. 

2. Two Ten Day Trips

The first trip starts July 25 south of Livingston from Mill Creek. We will spend 3 nights at Grizzly Creek, 3 nights at Buffalo Fork and Hidden Lake and 3 nights at Slough Creek. We come out August 3 at the Slough Creek trailhead in Yellowstone Park.

3. The Second 10 Day Trip

Starts August 4 at the Slough Creek trailhead. We will spend 3 nights at Slough Creek, 3 nights at Buffalo Fork and Hidden Lake and 3 nights at Grizzly Creek. We come out August 13 at Mill Creek.

Rates for either 10 Day Trip are $2000 per person.

4. Two 7 day Trips
Starts July25 at the Slough Creek trailhead. We will spend 3 nights at Buffalo Fork and Hidden Lake and 3 nights at Slough Creek and come out July 31 at the Slough Creek trailhead.

5. The Second 7 Day Trip

Starts August 4 at the Slough Creek trailhead. We will spend 3 nights at Grizzly Creek and 3 nights at Buffalo Fork and Hidden Lake and come out August 10 at the Slough Creek trailhead.

Rates are for either 7 Day Trip are $1400 per person
